I have been working in Search Engine Optimisation since 2007 and has delivered online success to many Australian businesses from large internationally recognised brands, to online shopping portals and budding startups.
Whilst approaching every campaign with a different strategy, my SEO techniques are centred around a firm belief that Search Engine Optimisation is not a dark art and is just common sense. By safely implementing technical best practices to a website together with an integration of search to a traditional marketing and social media strategy, any website can enjoy high rankings.
Short Autobiography
Following several years working in IT Support for an English Law Firm, I left home and work in 2004 to undertake a degree in Business Information Systems at Brighton University. By 2008 I had achieved a 2:1 (Upper second-class Honours) degree and in 2009 ventured to Melbourne, Australia in seek of new opportunities.
I started at Web Marketing Experts (WME) in November 2009 as an SEO Specialist at a time when the business was growing at an alarming rate. WME were bringing a huge amount of success to online businesses at a very competitive price in the market. By May 2010 the client base and the number of staff had grown threefold, seeing the company move to new, larger premises. In September 2010, I was appointed SEO Manager and lead a team of 10 Search Specialists.
In October 2011 I left WME to pursue an opportunity to work in the ultra competitive niche of home loans and insurance comparison at ratesonline.com.au. I also provide SEO Consultancy services to Australian businesses.
Personal
When I’m not reading or practising search strategies, I am usually found playing or watching football (soccer), and reading up on the latest happenings at the mighty Brentford FC who I miss dearly being in Australia. I also love drinking tea, watching a good film, eating steak and spending time with the love of my life.
